Stock zones

Dear All,
I'm looking at building a new MUD and am looking at SillyMUD
and LpMUD code bases. I thought that getting hold of stock zones
would be fairlyu easy but most MUDs don't distribute zones (for
obvious reasons) so where do they get all their stock zones from?

If anyone can point me in the direction of a good site for stock
zones I'd be grateful.

No comment on LPmuds since they're a whole different can of worms - not diku.
(which I havent really played with).

As far as SillyMud, doesnt that come with some their own zones?
(which would be their "stock" zones)

I dont think Sillymud is an active branch of diku muds.
So maybe be hard to find zones that slap right in.

Besides, if you want to make a "new" mud, wouldnt it be better to
make some new zones? :)

Probably the closest active branch to sillymud would be circlemud.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. lol

That seems to be the problem! The downloads don't seem to come
with very much at all, including documentation.

Well, ideally yes but the docs of those I've downloaded haven't
been very good and so some examples would be very useful...
